IGES results are always based on facts. Over the past 30 years, we have perfected our system of collecting, acquiring, processing, analyzing, and documenting our own data and consolidating these data for diverse questions again and again in new combinations. IGES has always gotten empirically based responses to all of its questions.
That is why IGES has access to an enormous source of data today. At the same time, IGES cooperates closely with institutions providing us with constantly updated figures.
In the 30-year history of IGES, its beneficial partnership with data protection agencies has proven to be a significant success factor. The view expressed by many people that too much data protection severely hinders research in Germany, specifically health care research, is not shared by IGES. In fact, only strict compliance with data protection and data safety rules and regulations actually makes those projects possible which would not otherwise have been realized due to distrust.
