IGES | Mobility focuses its consulting and research activities on the fields of transport market and infrastructure regulation, the design of regulation tools and transport service contracts, transport economics, strategic transport planning for rail and road bound transport services and market research in the mobility sector.

Transport Services, Infrastructure and its Regulation
Transportation infrastructure is an indispensable factor for ensuring mobility. The scope, configuration, quality, state of preservation, and access prices for infrastructure use – e.g. rail network and rail stations – essentially determine the attractiveness of the available transportation services.
Contractual agreements with infrastructure companies, requirements for efficient regulation as well as new financing forms, specifically public-private partnerships, are in the focus of the IGES service portfolio in this field.
